Yes, Golf Balls Really Do Break Solar Modules

If you ask any on who lives on a golf course, you quickly learn how damaging golf balls can be.  The incoming angle of the golf ball is key to which modules get broken. Golf balls hitting the glass surface at perpendicular angles will almost certainly be broken.

When considering which arrays require SolarNets, it will be those that are hit by the incoming golf balls at a 90 degree incoming angle. Modules being hit by glancing golf balls are much less likely to be damaged.
